Fayetteville - A Fayette County woman who admitted to stealing $7,500 from a former business employer will avoid major jail time if she successfully completes probation, officials told WOAY Friday.
Ella Lattanzi, 49, was sentenced to one to 10 years in prison, but received 60 days in jail under special conditions of her probation, according to Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Brian Parsons.
Lattanzi is also ordered to pay more than $12,000 in restitution. She previously pled guilty to a felony embezzlement charge after admitting to signing checks under another name and then cashing them for personal use while she worked as branch manager for Spring Leaf Home Equity Incorporated.
