OAK HILL - A Fayette County man is behind bars after authorities say he used a baseball bat to gain entrance into a relative's home Tuesday.
Homer Lewis Buckner Jr., of Oak Hill, faces charges including burglary, destruction of property, public intoxication, domestic battery and resisting arrest, according to a criminal complaint.
Buckner, 26, broke out a front window of the home on Saint Clair Avenue when he was denied access by his family, according to police and witnesses. Inside the home, Buckner allegedly hit his cousin twice, according to a report. On scene, officers found blood on the floor and a metal container with liquor.
Buckner remains in Southern Regional Jail on $50,000 bond, according to online jail records.
