BECKLEY - Volunteers for Mac's Toy Fund are asking the community for monetary and toy donations.

Mac's Toy Fund hopes to give toys to around 2,300 children across Raleigh County. Organizers are working with the Department of Health and Human Resources to invite needy children under age 14 to a toy distribution party later this month. They are collecting unwrapped new and used toys, children's coats and monetary donations.

"If you've got a grandchild or a child that's not playing with their toy or outgrown it, or if it's in your way and collecting dust, we'll find a good home for it," explained Pete Torrico, vice president of Mac's Toy Fund.

Folks can drop off toys at BJW Printers in Beckley on Robert C. Byrd Drive between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. weekdays. Monetary donations can be mailed to: Mac's Toy Fund, 801 North Kanawha Street, Beckley, WV 25801.
The annual party will be held at the Raleigh County Convention Center on December 21 beginning at 8:30 a.m.
