UPDATE (8:13 a.m.): Four departments battled an early-morning fire at a Summers County bar.

Dispatchers said it happened at around 1:26 a.m. Monday at the River Rick Bar & Grill just outside of Hinton.  They said no injuries were reported.  Firefighters on scene told Newswatch that it's still too early to determine a cause, but initial reports suggested that it started near the middle of the building.  They said the bar was closed at the time.

Chief David Adkins of the Summers County Volunteer Fire Department said that the stations teamwork helped control the fire.

"In a rural setting, the average is 20 people per department.  Out of those 20 you can figure about half of them are working or unable to attend, so you have to have several different departments in a rural setting to respond," said Adkins, "Without the working rapport we have with each other, we wouldn't be able to do what we do."

Officials said the building was a total loss.
