TAMARACK - The theatre in Tamarack hosted a musician and instrument maker on December 1st to play some holiday and winter music.
Sam Rizzetta is a West Virginia native and has always loved to play the classic sounds of the area. Using the dulcimers that he makes himself, Rizzetta said he writes much of his music with a West Virginia feel. The show was focused on winter classics and holiday favorites.
Rizzetta said, "being in West Virginia I like the old time West Virginia music. I play a lot of the things I heard growing up. Since childhood I toyed with instruments. We couldn't afford to buy instruments so I had to make the instruments that I wanted to play."
Rizzetta said he loves to play on the stage in Tamarack because of the wonderful acoustic quality it holds.
