BECKLEY - Two men are in jail following an early morning traffic stop in Raleigh County that led to a marijuana bust.

Douglas Eugene Palmer, 26, and Galand Jamal Lewis, 27, face charges of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and conspiracy to commit a felony. Lewis is also charged with obstructing.

Palmer was pulled over in Beckley for speeding, according to the criminal complaint. Both men were non-compliant and forced to exit the vehicle. Palmer was detained, while Lewis actively resisted officers' commands before being placed into custody.

Upon searching the car, police found 16 bags of marijuana more than one ounce in total. They also found $865 in Lewis' possession.

Palmer and Lewis are in Southern Regional Jail.
