OAK HILL – Rosedale Elementary School is in the running for $25,000 as part of U.S. Cellular’s Calling All Communities Campaign.

As of Monday, the school is ranked 86th of 3831 participating schools. The top 20 schools that receive the most online votes will each win a share of $500,000 to enhance their school’s educational experience.

Lori Ward, first grade teacher at Rosedale Elementary, encouraged locals to vote. "There's so many things around our school that we could do with that much money, so it would be very exciting to win that much,” she explained.

Many of the past winning schools outfitted their classrooms with new computers, improved outdated infrastructure and provided scholarships to graduating students.

Voting began November 4 and continues through November 25 at 11:59 p.m. To vote for Rosedale Elementary or other participating schools, click here.
