StormWatch Morning Forecast

Severe Weather Possible Today

Good Wednesday Morning. It is mild and quiet to start the morning off. We are seeing some cloud coverage, but that is helping us keep our temperatures in the low to mid 60s. Those of you in lower elevations are a bit cooler in the mid 50s.

Today will be a mostly cloudy one and we are expecting some thunderstorms during the afternoon hours. Temperatures will warm up into the upper 70s and low 80s for a lot of us. Some of the thunderstorms could be on the severe side. The Storm Prediction Center has the entire viewing area under a slight risk for severe weather today. Our biggest threats are strong damaging winds and hail.

The severe threat continues into the early evening hours. After midnight we begin to see the severe threat die down, but thunderstorms are expected to linger into your Thursday. Overnight lows will fall into the low to mid 60s.

Tomorrow brings more thunder for the first half of the day. As we move into the afternoon, we begin to see things clear up. Temperatures will be a little bit cooler in the low to mid 70s.

Friday and Saturday are looking much better with more sunshine. Temperatures will be cooler in the upper 60s and low 70s. We continue the sunny and dry stretch into Sunday and Monday, but are expecting temperatures to be much warmer in the upper 70s and low 80s.

The warm air continue into Tuesday, but a few more showers will begin to develop during the late afternoon.
