BECKLEY - Time to check out some uniquely decorated Christmas trees at the "Wonderland of Trees" festival is beginning to run out.

There is only one more week remaining until the United Way of Southern West Virginia auctions off 51 unique trees decorated by businesses, churches and non-profits around the area.

All proceeds from the event will benefit the United Way, which needs helping reaching their $525,000 goal. The organization says it received 15 calls for food assistance just this week.

"What we tell people everyday is when you go to bed tonight, once you've given to the United Way, you can just feel so comfortable that you're doing your part to help your neighbors, your friends, your family, your church family, and we really never know when it's going to be yours," Margaret O'Neal said.

The auction is set for next Friday at 6 p.m. at Lewis Automotive.
