OAK HILL - Oak Hill High School is sending off their football team to Charleston with a pep rally Friday afternoon.
The football team huddled in the gym to get the pep rally started and to pump up the students and the teachers. The Red Devils travel to George Washington High School for the first round of the playoffs. Teachers say the football team helps power the school and the community.
"It means everything, these kids have worked hard, they're very dedicated, they've kept their grades up, they've stayed out of trouble and we're ready to win and get the title for Oak Hill High School and the community," said teacher Brandy Thomas. "The parents, the community and the school, the staff, the students they are just so excited and supportive."
Oak Hill is trying to capture it's first ever state championship title.
