CHARLESTON - About 100 additional workers will be hired to help folks enroll in West Virginia's health insurance marketplace and expanded medicaid program.
State Insurance Commissioner's Office Officials said contracts are completed with four agencies to hire more in-person assisters. Office spokesman Jason Butcher said that federal money to employ the workers will go to the West Virginia Primary Care Association, Community Care of West Virginia, Partners in Health Network, Inc., and Valley Health Systems.
Officials said the additional hires will bring West Virginia's total number of in-person assisters to 200.
Open enrollment continues through March 31st.
