CHARLESTON - State Police say they need more people to join the fight against child pornography and Internet sexual predators. The State Police digital forensics lab at Marshall University has a six-month backlog of cases.  A similar Morgantown lab has a 14-month backlog.  Police officials recently met with members of the legislature to inform them about the need for more troopers.  The State Police Crimes Against Children unit conducted 665 investigations last year and made 197 arrests.  Officials with that unit say they want to be more proactive, but need more manpower to do so.
