BECKLEY - The affordable care act has been under scrutiny by some, especially when it comes to enrolling. So if your struggling in figuring out the website, now there is help.
Representatives were at Beckley ARH Hospital assisting folks in enrolling for health insurance. They are there to answer questions about coverage and making sure you qualify for the right insurance. According to officials there are over 10,000 people in Raleigh County who do not have health insurance and say they are trying to get more people enrolled.
"Health insurance is important, we know that 1 person dies every 20 minutes from lack of health insurance in this country and so we think it's important that they get insured. We want to try to make sure that we get as many West Virginians enrolled in health insurance as we possibly can," said Southern Regional Coordinator Doris Selko.
Representatives will be back at Beckley ARH on November 11 and 16. They will also be in Summers County ARH Hospital on November 12 and 23.
