BEAVER - Organizers invite the community to come to a wellness fair Tuesday evening at the Erma Byrd Higher Education Center in Beaver.
The fair is from 2 to 7 p.m. More than ten health-related organizations will be on-hand to answer questions and offer tips. Several free medical screenings and discounted flu vaccines will be offered.
Lisa Moten, director of the Erma Byrd Higher Education Center, said this is the first year they have hosted a wellness fair and they hope to host one every fall if all goes well. “I encourage everyone to come out and see the facility and not only take advantage of this event, but know that we're here to serve them,” she said.
The Higher Education Wellness Fair is sponsored by Bluefield State College, Concord University and Marshall University Graduate College. It is free to attend.
