A Fayette County woman could spend up to 10 years in prison after she admitted to stealing $7,500 from an Oak Hill business she worked for.

Ella Lattanzi, 49, pled guilty to a felony embezzlement charge Tuesday in exchange for silence from prosecutors during sentencing.

In Judge John Hatcher's courtroom this morning, Lattanzi admitted to signing checks under another name and then cashing them for her personal use while she worked as branch manager for Spring Leaf Home Equity Inc.

Employees with Spring Leaf were present in court, and they're set to attend a restitution hearing later. Lattanzi will be sentenced Dec. 6.
