Man pleads guilty to shooting assault rifle at an apartment building

BECKLEY – A man accused of firing shots with an assault rifle at a Raleigh County apartment complex pleads guilty today.

Raleigh County Assistant Prosecutor Tom Truman says Raymond Stoumile, 26 year-old plead guilty Monday to two felony charges. Proceedings were scheduled to start for shooting an AK-47 assault type rifle at the Hager Street Apartments last December.

He was indicted in May on four counts but agreed to the charges of wanton endangerment and possession of a firearm by a prohibited carrier. Stoumile faces up to 15 years on each count when he is sentenced in November.
