OAK HILL - Bridge Day has come and gone and planning committees are already thinking of ideas for next year.
There is no exact number on how many people attended the event but officials say there were 903 base jumps off the New River Gorge Bridge. No major accidents occurred and officials tell Newswatch even though it rained for a short time, everything went smoothly.
"Bridge Day was great, we want to thank everyone for coming out, I know the weather wasn't perfect and there were some things that were scheduled on Bridge Day but we really appreciate everybody coming out," said Cindy Dragan. "Right now we are still in wrap up mode but like I said on Tuesday we're going to start planning and get some new ideas for next year."
Bridge Day 2014 will be the 35th Bridge Day event.
