PRINCETON - A grand jury indicted a Bluefield woman accused of killing another woman after a heated exchange of text messages.

Judith Kowaleski, 43, was charged with first-degree murder in the March shooting death of Elizabeth Slagle, 42, of Bluefield.  Police have said the two clashed in text messages and phone calls after an altercation between their children on a school bus.  Slagle was found dead of a single gunshot wound with a stun gun next to her body.  A handgun with a bullet discharged was later found at Kowaleski's home.

At a preliminary hearing back in April, Defense Attorney Ryan Flanigan said that Slagle was shot by accident after she tried to use the stun gun on Kowaleski.
