OAK HILL - This year, a Bridge Day participant creates the face of the event, after winning the 2013 poster contest. Amber Leeman of northern Virginia will be in Fayette County later this week to repel from the New River Gorge Bridge. This is the ninth year of the contest, and this time, Leeman is giving the poster an unusual point of view.
Bridge Day chair Cindy Dragan says, "It's really interesting to see posters we get because it's different perspectives from each artist of what Bridge Day is to them. That's one of the reasons this poster is so exciting for us this year is because it's from the aspect of the rappeller."
The public votes on a winner between the top four designs. Bridge Day posters will be available on both sides of the bridge on Saturday.
