OAK HILL - Football season means homecoming for local high schools and one school is making sure this years is one to remember.
The Oak Hill High School Alumni Association is preparing for this years homecoming by filling in pot holes in the road and adding new gravel around the stadium. The press box is also getting a facelift with some new paint and a new design. Oak Hill High alumni say it brings them joy to be able to work on something they grew up with.
"It makes me pretty happy, I haven't been back here in a long time and it's great to just come back and do something for your school you know," said Michael Sizemore. "Anytime that I can make a piece of art that is going to inspire somebody whether it be a young person playing football, or somebody wanting to get out of bed and get in shape is fine with me I feel great about it."
The Oak Hill Red Devils take on Lewis County this Friday for homecoming.
