CHARLESTON - Frontier Communications and the Communications Workers of America extended their contract for workers in West Virginia while they continue negotiations.
It's the second extension since talks began four months ago. The old contract expired August 2 and was extended until October 12. The latest extension will run through January 18. The contract covered more than 1,600 workers in the Mountain State who were formerly Verizon employees.
Frontier bought Verizon's landlines in the state back in 2009.
