CHARLESTON - Drivers continued to feel less pain at the pump.  Gas prices in the Mountain State dropped four pennies since last week.

AAA East Central said the average price for a gallon of regular, unleaded gasoline in West Virginia was recorded at $3.40.  That's $0.50 cheaper than it was at this time last year.

The nation's average also dropped four cents from last week, now measured at $3.35 per gallon.
