CHARLESTON - Someone may come forward to claim a million dollar Powerball prize.

Lottery Director John Musgrave said someone contacted the lottery claiming they had the winning ticket that was bought in Rainelle for the October 2nd drawing that was a match five, but missed the Powerball.  Musgrave said the ticket will be verified Monday, and if it's validated, the winner will be introduced at a 2:00 p.m. conference.

Eleven lottery tickets worth at least a million dollars have been sold in the state since January of 2012.
