BECKLEY - The Tamarack was busy today as fans gathered to get books autographed by local authors.
The writers of the book Luke's Daughters, a memoir of Northfork were at the Tamarack signing their book for admirers. The book details their father's life as a car salesman in Northfork and what their experiences were like growing up in a small town. They say their feedback has been excellent and they are excited to invite so many people into their lives through their book.
"We wanted to leave a footprint for our daughters and our grandchildren so they would know what it was like when we were young, the things we did the toys we had. It's been very positive, we have been very much impressed and thrilled that we had such a very positive reaction to this entire book," said co-author Martha Rector.
The book is on sale at a number of bookstores, online, and at the Tamarack.
