POWELLTON - A Fayette County man was arrested after deputies said he was making fake 911 calls and set two fires.

James Earl Hudnall, 19, of Powellton, was charged with four counts of falsely reporting an emergency incident and one count of first degree arson.  Sheriff Steve Kessler said Hudnall was named a suspect after an investigation into several calls to the 911 center that reported false structure fires, car wrecks, and a mining accident, along with a separate investigation into two intentionally set fires involving vacant homes in the Powellton area. All the incidents happened between August 6 and September 16.

Hudnall was lodged in Southern Regional Jail in lieu of $25,000 bond.
