BECKLEY - More than 60 law enforcement officers and supervisors participate in training on Tuesday.

It was hosted by the Beckley Police Department and West Virginia Chiefs of Police Association. Training included a review of constitutional standards that apply to supervisor liability, use of force and other similar topics. The Beckley Police Department brought in attorney Eric Daigle of the Daigle Law Group in Connecticut who tells Newswatch the purpose of the training is to provide the tools necessary to operate under current police practices to make better decisions and document their actions.
