BECKLEY - One person was transported to the hospital with injuries following a crash between two motorcycles in Raleigh County.

Dispatches said the accident was reported just after 7 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Ragland Road and Stanaford Drive. One man, identified by friends as Cory Tolliver, was transported by Jan-Care Ambulance.

A man involved in the crash told Newswatch said both he and his friend were wearing helmets.

"We were just coming down this road right here, and a kid jumped out in front of my buddy on this bike, and there was just nothing I could do to stop," Tyler Lester told WOAY. "I just rear-ended him, and when I did, we just slammed and slid over here."

Lester's friends arrived to clear the scene soon after the accident. They believe Tolliver may have broken his leg.

The Raleigh County Sheriff's Office and Bradley-Prosperity Fire Department also responded to the crash.
