SUMMERSVILLE - Loved ones gathered Saturday evening in Summersville to remember a local woman who was killed in a car accident one month ago.

Family and friends held a memorial for Savannah Rae-Brooke McKinney, 25, who passed away August 27, following a car accident in Braxton County. She was two-and-a-half months pregnant.

“This is our way of remembering and cherishing her life, her beauty, her grace and all the wonderful things that we all have to talk about and share about her,” explained friend Tawyna Coleman. McKinney was a bubbly person who was fun to be around, according to Coleman.

The flames of candles burned as loved ones spoke about McKinney’s life and shared memories.
