Traffic stop leads to arrest in Greenbrier County

RAINELLE –A traffic stop leads to a drug arrest in Greenbrier County.

William Pierce Nutter, 50, of Charmco is charged with operating a vehicle without proper registration, operating without insurance, driving without a license and three counts of possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver. 

Rainelle Police Chief J.P. Stevens says that Nutter passed him on North Sewell Street Tuesday afternoon at around 12:30, that's when Stevens noticed his inspection sticker had expired.  When Stevens pulled Nutter over he found a good quantity of Xanax, Diazepam and Lyrica in his possession. 

Nutter is currently in Southern Regional Jail awaiting his arraignment.
