CHARLESTON - Governor Earl Ray Tomblin ordered that all U.S. and West Virginia flags to be lowered to half-staff Wednesday at government facilities.

It's part of the state's commemoration of Patriot Day and the National Day of Service and Remembrance. Tomblin also asked all West Virginians to take a moment of silence to honor the victims of the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2011.
