RAINELLE - The West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection is working to help Rainelle and surrounding areas dispose of tires.
This Saturday, September 14, tire pickup is free. Residents from Greenbrier County can bring in up to 10 tires for disposal. Only car and light truck tires 16 inches or less will be accepted. Haulers and businesses are not allowed to participate.
Mayor Andy Pendelton says, "Rainelle's tire pickup is not only for people living in the Town, but all our neighboring areas."
The Town of Rainelle's 2011 tire round up took in 3,200 old tires.
