SUMMERSVILLE - Probable cause was found in the case of a Nicholas County woman accused of hiding human remains in her rented storage unit.

Wanda Kiser appeared in magistrate court Wednesday morning for her preliminary hearing.  Magistrate Bobby Gordon found probable cause and handed the case over to the next session of the grand jury.

Kiser was arrested back in August on two counts of illegally disposing a dead body.  Alabama authorities also charged her with 17 counts of forgery after they said she cashed checks belonging to Mary Cobb, 105, and Wynona Delvecchio, 84.  The two women were both reported missing in 2003, several years after Kiser allegedly checked them out of a nursing home.  The remains found in that storage unit haven't been positively identified.

Kiser remained in Central Regional Jail.
