FAYETTEVILLE - The preliminary hearing for a Fayetteville Elementary School Teacher accused of hitting two students on separate occasions was continued Wednesday morning.
Officials with Magistrate Danita Young's office told Newswatch that Kathleen Wade's defense attorney needed more time to prepare, and that the hearing will be rescheduled for a later date. Wade, 57, of Hico, was charged with two counts of battery. According to a criminal complaint, witnesses saw her hit two students on separate occasions. She is still employed by Fayette County Schools, but is not in contact with students.
