OCEANA - What came in as a call about a gun in a middle school parking lot ends up just being a toy.
According to Oceana Police Chief J. E. Barlow at 2:50 Tuesday afternoon The Oceana Police Department received information that a person was holding what appeared to be a rifle inside a SUV outside Oceana Middle School. After securing the scene with the help of The West Virginia State Police and Wyoming County Sheriff's Department Officers determined that while a man was inside the school picking up his child, a younger kid was pointing an airsoft gun outside the back window.
No charges are pending.
