NPS seeks public comment on proposed fees at Meadow Creek Campground

Local - 8/28/2013 5:25 PM by Rebecca Turco

SANDSTONE - Park rangers are asking for the public to comment on proposed fees at a new campground in Summers County.

The National Park Service is building the Meadow Creek Campground, which will be the park's first site in the area to offer electricity and water. The campground will be more of a full-service site, compared primitive campgrounds.

Park Ranger David Bieri said since the park is public, locals should have a say in the fees. “It's their campground, so we want to make sure we're doing what is in the best interest of the public, Bieri said.
