BEAVER – With the help of the community, Concord University officials filled a bus with school supplies for low-income students across southern West Virginia.
The month-long "Stuff the Bus" campaign ended Tuesday night. Student and Administrative Assistant Pam Wallace said every seat was filled with materials. Organizers have already started giving out supplies to schools in Raleigh County.
Wallace said the supplies will help public school students succeed in the classroom. “The greatest thing you can do is help your children, because when you help your children, you help your future,” she said. “You help their future and you give them hope for themselves to let them know that they have that support system.”
The supplies will be distributed to county schools across the area during the next few weeks.
