BECKLEY - The Raleigh County Board of Education met Tuesday evening to discuss the first couple of weeks of school.

Raleigh County schools are now in the third week of school. This is the first Board of Education meeting for Superintendent Jim Brown and the board for this school year. They talked about iRaleigh and the new iPads given to students. Brown says the students are happy and the process is moving very smoothly.

"We had a great start to the school year. On Monday we began our iRaleigh deployment, our first school was Park Middle School. We deployed a little over 400 devices in an hour and 10 minutes, and today was second school we did Trap Hill Middle, over 500 devices we were able to deploy in about 40 minutes so we see that the process is getting more and more efficient," said Brown.>

Brown also said there were a couple of technology glitches but they were resolved.
