RAINELLE - Police in one Greenbrier County town are investigating the origin of a counterfeit bill used to buy food and drinks at McDonald's.

Officer J.L. Stevens told Newswatch employees at a Rainelle McDonald's turned in a fake $10 bill to the Rainelle Police Department.

The bill has printing marks, fake numbers and is shorter than other billds, authorities said.

Although it is just one fake bill, police in Rainelle said it's important to find the maker and the man or woman who used it for a purchase.
