UPDATE: Mother and daughter found safe and sound

UPDATE - State police confirmed that the mother and child who went missing from Monroe County more than a week ago were located and are safe and sound.

Corporal S.S. Keaton with the Union Detachment told Newswatch that thanks to the cooperation of several law enforcement agencies, police were able to locate Melanie Pyne, 32, and Hannah Marie Pyne, 1.  Keaton said that Melanie requested that where she was found and her current location not be released, but that she and her child are safe.

LINDSIDE - State police in Monroe County are looking for a mother and daughter who haven't been seen in more than a week.

Corporal S. S. Keaton with the Union Detachment told Newswatch that Melanie Pyne, 32, and her daughter one-year-old Hannah Marie Pyne were last seen by Melanie's father on August 16 at their Lindside residence on Pine Grove Road.  Keaton said that Melanie had mentioned to coworkers that she wanted to go to the beach that day, never showed up for work the following Sunday, and hasn't been heard from since. 

The two are believed to be driving in a 2009 baby blue Toyota Camry with West Virginia tags 5PX 947.  

Melanie weights about 215 pounds and is 5'6."  She has glasses and a barbed wire tattoo on the upper part of her left arm.

Hannah weighs about 22 pounds and is 30 inches tall.

Both have blonde hair and blue eyes.
