CHARLESTON - State officials begin to tally the cost of supporting the Boy Scouts Jamboree.
Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin's staff expected to pour $1.6 million in resources to keep things running smoothly during the ten day event at the Summit Bechtel Family Scout Reserve near Glen Jean.
So far, officials said about $413,000 was spent for July's event. That amount doesn't include overtime pay for state police.
Officials said once all costs are totaled, that amount will be submitted to the Boy Scouts for reimbursement.
