HUNTINGTON - The average score of Mountain State students that took the ACT college exam remained the same as last year.
Test scores in West Virginia this year averaged 20.6, the same as the year before. Students improved slightly in science, had the same score in reading, and had slight declines in English and math.
Nationally, average scores dropped from 21.1 to 20.9, but almost 130,000 more students took the test.
