Organizers make final preparations for Oak Leaf Festival

Local - 8/21/2013 6:32 PM by Rebecca Turco

OAK HILL - Preparations are almost complete for the Oak Leaf Festival in Oak Hill, which begins Thursday.

The 15th annual event takes place across the city for several days. The festival takes place every Labor Day Weekend. The festivities include live performances and food.

Organizer Diana Janney said there is something for everyone at the festival. “It brings a lot of people together [and] gives an opportunity for some of the older ones that live in community housing that maybe can't afford to go on a vacation,” she said. “It's a great opportunity to get out and see people.

Janney said organizers plan to finish decorating Oak Hill Wednesday night. For a full list of activities, read below.
