BECKLEY - Panera Bread in Beckley was
officially recognized by the city Tuesday.
The Beckley-Raleigh Chamber of
Commerce hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony outside of the café. Panera Bread has
been open for two weeks and officials said the positive reception has blown
away their expectations.
Regional Marketing Coordinator Emily
Lutz said the workers are happy to be serving people in the area. “We are
thrilled once again to be able to open a new cafe and see how welcoming the
local community is.”
Lutz said any unsold baked goods are
donated to local hunger relief organizations and food banks.
