RAINELLE - Greenbrier County schools return to school Thursday, August 22.

Rainelle Elementary school teachers are training on new programs. The teachers are learning Engrade, a new grading program they're using this year as well as new policies for the school. Rainelle Elementary school principal John Lewis says he is ready for the new school year.

"We're all excited about that, teachers are going to be able to communicate with the parents and able to actually access all kinds of records with Engrade," said Lewis. "Yeah, we're excited for the school year, its going to be a big challenge this year, we have a new school, have lots of things to replace as you can see outside."

This will be the first full year in the new school. Construction continues outside with the old Rainelle School.
