OAK HILL - Many shelters continue to face crowding issues so the Tractor Supply in Oak Hill organized a pet adoption event.

The New River Humane Society along with other animal shelters came out to the event to help find puppies, cats, and even rabbits a new home. A number of these animals are rescues and need a permanent home soon.

"It means the most to us because pet product is one of the biggest things we sell here so that keeps us in business. It just helps the community, that's what it is all about," said Tractor Supply employee Eliza Donnally.

"Right now there is a big problem with too many animals in shelters that cannot find homes so it is very important to have your pets spade and neutered," said Krista Moore with Wags-N-Whiskers Animal Rescue.

Operation underdog works with the Humane Society and together they organized the event.
