BECKLEY - School meals will be distributed a little differently this year in Raleigh County. Unlike years past, every elementary school student in any of the 19 facilities will be able to eat free breakfast and lunch five days a week, and parents do not need to fill out any applications. The menu will also feature more scratch cooking and spices, and cooks will use more raw meat as opposed to processed foods.  School officials say this change is meeting a great need in the area, because many students go from Friday afternoon to Monday morning without getting anything to eat.
