UPDATE - Two people were arrested following a meth bust in Fayette County Tuesday night.
Capt. Jim Sizemore with the Fayette County Sheriff's Department confirmed that Dennis Brooks, Jr., 30, and Shannon Phillips, 23, both of Sewell Mountain, were taken into custody and charged with operating a clandestine methamphetamine lab and child endangerment. Both Brooks and Phillips were in Southern Regional Jail awaiting for their arraignment in front of a Fayette County Magistrate Wednesday morning.
Sizemore said that members of the Fayette County Sheriff's Department and Central West Virginia Drug Task Force followed up on a tip when they found the lab at a residence on Route 60 in the Sewell Mountain area. At the time of it's discovery, officers said that the suspects were actively manufacturing meth.
Fire department personnel and specially trained clandestine lab technicians responded to assist with the scene.
Officials continue to investigate.

GLADE CREEK - A meth lab is found in Fayette County Tuesday night.
According to Capt. Jim Sizemore with the Sheriff's Department, Members of the Fayette County Sheriff's Office and the Central WV Drug Task Force are currently at the scene of a clandestine meth lab in a residence on U.S. Route 60 in the Sewell Mountain area approximately 3 miles East of Rainelle.
Officers were following up on a tip when they discovered this lab. The suspects were actively engaged in the process of manufacturing methamphetamine at the time the lab was discovered.
Fire Department personnel and specially-trained clandestine laboratory technicians are currently on scene.
