ATHENS, W.Va.--Concord cross country and track and field head coach Mike Cox has announced the hiring of
Casey Ord as an assistant coach to the program.

Ord spent the last two seasons competing for the Mountain Lions on the oval. She was a member of two conference championship track relays – 4x100 meter and 4x400 meter - during the 2013 outdoor season.

"It's always really good to have one on your own come back and help," Cox said. "She was a big part of our relay success in the past. I'm really excited to have her on board."

Ord's primary responsibilities will be to assist with recruiting as well as working with jumps, sprints and relays during track season.

She will begin work in the health promotion master's program at Concord.

Concord opens the season at the Virginia Tech Invitational on September 6th.
