UPDATE: Authorities in Fayette Co. search for runaway teenager

UPDATE:

PRINCE - A runaway teenager who had been camping with his parents for about two weeks in the Prince area was located safely in Pulaski, Va. Saturday night, according to the Fayette County Sheriff's Office. 

Sheriff Steve Kessler said dispatchers received the call around 5:30 a.m. Saturday that Zebulon E. McNeill, 16, of the Durham, N.C. area was missing from his camp site on Army Camp Road. Bloodhound handlers from the Sheriff's Office and National Park Service Rangers responded to the scene. 

McNeill's parents reported they had last seen him around 11 p.m. Friday, when they settled in for the night. The Sheriff's Office later received information that McNeill was seen at the Visitor's Center in Princeton around 9 a.m. Saturday.

The incident remains under investigation by the Fayette County Sheriff's Office, the National Park Service for the New River Gorge National River and by various law enforcement and Child Protective Services agencies in the Durham, N.C. area.

Sheriff Steve Kessler said dispatchers received the call around 5:30 a.m. Saturday that Zebulon E. McNeill, 16, of the Durham, North Carolina area was missing from his camp site on Army Camp Road. Bloodhound handlers from the Sheriff's Office and National Park Service Rangers responded to the scene. 

McNeill was last seen at the Visitor's Center in Princeton around 9 a.m. Saturday, according to Captain Jim Sizemore of the Sheriff's Office.

McNeill is described as a 5-foot 7-inch white male weighing about 115-pounds. He has short hair dyed to an orange shade and a scar above his left eye. He was last seen wearing an orange tee-shirt with a bleach stain, blue jeans and black converse high-top tennis shoes. 

Investigators think McNeill may be attempting to run away from his family, according to Kessler. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime stoppers at 304-255-STOP. Tips can also be submitted through the Crime Tips section of the Sheriff's Office website or through the department's Facebook Page.
