FAYETTEVILLE - A joint effort by several law enforcement agencies netted a few arrests as part of a warrant round up.
Members of the Fayette County Sheriff's Department, Oak Hill Police Department, State Police, U.S. Marshal's Service, and Central West Virginia Drug Task Force swept the county and served arrest warrants all on drug charges Thursday morning.
Their goal was to end the day with 30 people behind bars, and so far, they've made about half of those arrests.
"These guys do a lot of work, spend a lot of ours out, and doing this stuff takes a long time," said Sheriff Steve Kessler, "but, this is good for us right now. It's good for the public and the public sees we're working."
Officials are expected to release the names of those who were arrested and the folks they're still looking for later on Thursday.
